District-Wide Announcements
The Cure Looks Like You!
Every 4 minutes someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer and may need a marrow transplant. Most do not have a matching donor in their family. Our family of RRPS nurse’s would like to help change that. On October 30th  at Rio Rancho High School in conjunction with the RRHS/CHS volleyball teams we will be holding a “Be The Match” registry drive. It takes just a simple mouth swab and paperwork to start the lifesaving process. Doors open at 3:30. Come join and become a possible donor to save a life.
It's That Time of Year!

Happy Autumn! It must be time for the Galloping Grace Youth Ranch Pumpkin Patch! Open from Saturday, Sept. 27 to Halloween, please come join in the educational and fun festivities. Click here for details!

Telephone Messages
Parents, please do not phone the office to relay messages to your students except in emergency situations. Unless it is an actual emergency, students will not be taken out of class to receive calls. The deadline for non-emergency calls, including transportation changes, is 3:00pm (12:00 on Wednesdays). Thank you for your understanding!

EHE Newsletters
Unless requested, hard copies of The Mustang Memo, are not sent home with students.  Parents with School Fusion website accounts automatically receive newsletters via email.  Mustang Memos can also be viewed on our Newsletters page. To create a School Fusion account, visit the Parents button at the top of this page or contact your child's teacher
Student Pickup
Research indicates classroom interruptions detract greatly from teaching and learning. Consequently, we do not call students out of class during the last 30 minutes of the instructional day. When parents arrive during this window to pick up their child, we will ask them to wait until dismissal.  Students will also not be called from recess or the bus if a parent arrives to pick them up for an appointment. Thank you for your understanding!

Cell Phone and Ink/Toner Recycling
EHE earns money by recycling cell phones, laptop computers, iPads, Tablets, toner & ink cartridges, IPods & MP3 players, hand held gaming devices, digital cameras, digital video cameras, game consoles, portable GPS devices, radar detectors, E-Book readers, graphing calculators and even jewelry!  Funds raised are used to purchase technology products for our classrooms! Please drop off donations in the labeled bin in the EHE foyer next to the library windows. Contact Kristi Smith for more information.

Mission: Rio Rancho Public Schools is dedicated to graduating each student with an educational foundation for success as a responsible, ethical contributor to society.
